this is more like winter! The wind has been so strong today that, at times, I couldnt see houses that were on the other side of the road. Over the past 3-4 days, I have received approx 20" of snow; where the wind whips through the yard, there are actually a few places where you can see grass. Thats how strong the wind has been.
This is my idea of winter fun. Give me 4-5 inches of light fluffy snow, and then let the wind crank up to 40-45 MPH and create some blustery conditions. |

Irony of ironies--the much-hyped storm of midweek underperformed, giving us 6 inches 98-10 were predicted), but the "afterthought" gave us nearly 7 inches. Yesterday's storm was barely discussed, but it is often that the storms they discuss little end up overperforming. Another example was the March 7, 2011 storm, which was forecast to give us 7 inches but gave us 16. Weekend storms often fly under the radar.
