Figured we'd need a place for posters to give their obsx eventually.

Our little "inland diver" system. ( Yes, I know NE is not in this one and it's MA only, but rules are rules)

Hmmm

Being this is looking like a Saturday potential, should the date be changed to the 17th as my local via Sterling has what ever precip is squeezed out of the clouds will be gone by evening.

I mean heck a day is a day and I could care less either way with regard to what date is shown, I simply brought it up for the interest of those who are not active on here and merely pop in from time to time when they hear "something" may be headed there way and didn't want any confusion being it's a weekend and most have plans.

Good point, I fixed the dates to include both the 17-18th. Prolly should have been to being with.

Normal CAD thing areas in VA and NW NC should watch as well should help create a sleet and maybe ZR situation for some down there. Might have nice burst of snow for northern VA and DC area maybe stretching to BWI area. At least most will have off but dont let your guard down especially in areas near the snow.

I'm expecting a quick hit of snow tomorrow, but will probably only stick to the grassy areas given how sunny it is today.

I'm looking forwards to checking the radar in the morning.

All model guidance is just that, guidance. It is the responsibility of the forecaster to take that information, make it better, and appropriately communicate the improved forecast to users.

We live in a day and age where the quantity of model guidance is overwhelming, particularly within 24 hours of an event. We must remind ourselves that all models are wrong, but some are more useful than others.

I'm checking my weather rock in the morning. If it's wet it's raining. If it's cold it's icy. But it won't be white.

My bad sorry as this system as of earlier we were supposed to get rain showers but now looks to be sunny 48F and Sunday sunny 50F.

Yesterday the winds here were strong. AT BWI yesterday or Thursday there were dark clouds with snow flurries. The Bay Bridge has had wind warnings I think just about all week

Looks more bark than bite lotta dry air just above the surface virga all over. Some snow showers off to the western portion of the state. Wouldnt be surprised if we manage a couple flakes out of it later on.
