Tring to tell whether that is a clear bow segment along the 76 corridor, west of Carlisle. Has that look to it.

With such a decent low to mid level vortex holding on and crossing the area with a front spells heavy rains for sure but adds that extra spin may look at a lot of wind reports and maybe a few tornado reports later on

Seeing some decent amount of lightning in the cells just west of Carlisle. Those may be "the ones", if any

Sounding have some ominous features - rapid temp fall at ascending heights, LFC/LCL etc. But Hodo's not too loopy and SH not all that impressive. 850-500 crossover very 'meh'.

So far here it's been pour a minute and let up or stop, very tropical like.

Lasted well over 20 minutes and was instant dumpage and the rates never let up until the sun came out just as instantly. The carnage was already done at that point.

Here on UTS Hill, there is evidence of also getting hit but not as hard as CH/Harrisburg/Hershey corridor.

Holy mega deluge! Was at a funeral in Camp Hill and it came down in torrents. Hit most of the Harrisburg region with rain the likes I haven't seen the likes of since TS Lee! Almost instant street flooding all over. Waded a new formed lake to get back to my car.

SUMMARY...Amid cloud breaks and relatively rich low-level moisture,
the air mass across the region will continue to gradually
destabilize with an expected increase and intensification of
thunderstorms this afternoon. Strong nearly unidirectional
deep-layer winds could support fast-moving line segments and bows
along with the possibility of a few splitting supercells. Damaging
winds should be the most common hazard
.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles south of
Cincinnati OH to 30 miles northeast of Harrisburg PA. For a complete
depiction of the watch see the associated watch outline update
(WOUS64 KWNS WOU6).

Not too shocked, it is a gross mess out there today and this sun now should destabilize the whole atmosphere. PWAT values are high and Cindy remnants will push them even higher. It won't take much to trip the trigger this afternoon.

My interpretation of the Bering Sea Rule leads me to believe that more tropical trouble comes at the end of the first week of July - around the 9 or 10, we should see a significant storm arise from the Lower GOM. Actually, it could be like Cindy and have, at least some, influence from the E Pac region.
I'm liking that notion more so than the waves coming off the African Continent - at least for that time period.

Hmmm - "we shall see"

Well - anytime a tropical system (or in this case, former trop system) comes nearby, there could very well be enough dynamics to produce some buoyancy and down welling within a relatively tight geographic region.

The CAM runs show a sporadic threat on both tomorrow afternoon and then again overnight Saturday.

interesting it went from an east side storm to a NW side.

Wish I had time today to grab rainfall amounts. On the road though.

It never lost the east side, it just allowed much of it to be further away from the storm proper. All that rain up into TN/NC today is from the flow associated with Cindy. She did wrap in some west flank activity, but is nothing compared to the transport associated on its eastern side. Here's the Intellicast depiction - note that it does not include the rain past this morning.

Wonder how long it is until we open the thread for this friday to saturday not severe that im seeing but the heavy rainfall potential.

For now, looks to be S MidAtl threat and doesn't merge or pull into the N stream shortwave (well up into Canada). We might get lucky and it stays well below 40N.
