I measured in about 10 places and I've found no less than 5 and no more than 10cm so far. 7 would be a safe bet. Another little surprise smile.gif

Should be able to add to that nicely by tomorrow mornings as well.

Just cleared the yard out. There must've been at least 8 cm's of light fluffy snow with more on the way judging from radar.

we had about 2-3 cm of wet snow here in Waterdown. It's turned over mostly to a rain snow mix and reading a high of 4C in Burlington and 2C here in Waterdown as per my cars outside temp gauge.

The new snow we did have this morning is gone, as well as a couple of cm of snow we had from Dec 26-Jan 1. Grass is poking out in some spots where is was blown thin by the wind and had sun exposure.

With more warm weather on the way, and no storm events later on in Jan at the moment. Looks like winter snow will be pretty much done, I hope End of Jan and Feb is a lot better.

--------------------
12/13 - Accumulation for Waterdown ON. 97 cm, 15 cm on the ground
11/12 - Total Accumulation for Waterdown ON. 33 cm
10/11 - Total Accumulation for Waterdown ON. 105 cm
09/10 - Total Accumulation for Waterdown ON. 59 cm

I just measure and we have 10cms so far, with more on the way for the next couple hours according to the radar. So another over performer for our area wink.gif

Judging by the radar, it appears as though the 416 almost the cutoff for snow. I would estimate 12-14 cm by the time this dies off in the next couple of hours.

Hoping for some lake enhancement over the next few hours. Had about 6 cms overnight, slight thaw today, but most still there, now gone back below freezing and building again just want a couple cms to cover the ugliness!

Still snowing at a good clip. Regardless of a thaw or whatever is in the pipeline, this has been a great stretch of winter weather here over the last while. I can't complain.

Ditto. And it would take more than one day over 5C to get rid of all 2-3 feet of snow, especially the dense, heavy (and now rather icy) 30-40cm on the bottom from that first storm.

Anywho, about 10-12cm down here and snowing very, very lightly.

I have to agree, although this upcoming thaw is dissapointing, we have just come off the best 2 weeks of winter weather we've had in years. 2 - 3 feet of snow, and we had a low temp of almost -25c one night. And if the rest of winter is like these last 2 weeks, we are going to need this thaw to clean things up and keep roofs from collapsing.

This storm appears to be done for us now, I just cleaned up the laneway and we got 13 cms. Again another over acheiver like the last 2 big storms. EC said 5 cms and TWN said 5 - 10cm, so they were pretty close. I'll take some photos of the amazing snow banks in the AM.

2 quick photo's on the eve of the warm up this week (sorry they are night shots)

These snowbanks are just from snowblowing and shovelling, I dont use a plow. They measured with a yard stick, so you can see they are over 3 feet, 4ft. in most places. The 911 sign at the end of the driveway is almost buried which is over 4 feet tall.

This shows the incredible snow totals we have had over the last 2 weeks, Lets hope they return after this warm up....

Really nice snow event this was... about 10 cm int he east end.

Nice pics above, JJ... believe it or not, some areas in the east end have larger amounts of snow than what your two pics show and what you show is a lot.

Let's hope more storminess in the form of snow can return. I think it will as the pattern may go the way it was at the end of december (last two weeks or so).
