It looks like we might get some big snow. Winter is not done yet!

Glad that's over, only got maybe 3 inches out of this system up here in Lawrence county. Now just waiting on some temprature moderation to 50s and 60's. Think we still got a few more weeks to go before thar happens.

Well, after the summer that never really seemed to start and the never ending NW flow out of Canada we're heading into fall and I hope this pattern we've been in will change by winter. Last year was probably the coldest I've experienced in my life and I hope it won't happen again, with that being said what is everyones thougts for winter 2014-2015? I've seen alot of speculation on what EL Nino is going to do and it looks like a moderate is in play, going to be interesting if the Southern Tropical Jet will through some significant moisture towards the Ohio Vally and we can get away from the clipper systems and brutal cold for a change.

The cold weather we experienced last Winter I can do without! I don't mind the snow though. I hope it's a snowy, mild Winter.

I've been following alot of different forecasts and blogs as of late and they all seem to agree that the progressive artic air of last year was a pretty rare event being so long lived and may not be as brutal this winter. This upcoming weekend looks like it could be the first possible lake effect system this season they didn't say anything as far as accumulation but temps in the 20's for lows.

WWA up for the metro.
4-6" seems like a good solid amount, especially for a clipper.

Now that we're into May I'm hoping to start to see some good thunderstorms, Sunday night according to the SPC had some decent hail reports in Allegany County but not much up my way. I thought we would be well on our way with all the much above average warmth and a weakening Super El Nino, just getting board with these short wave troughs. Hope everyone stays safe
