I saw the most classic, textbook multicell thunderstorm today. It was great. You could clearly see the dissipating thunderstorm, which was clearly raining itself out, and the new thunderstorm... a lot like this

Nothing here so far. I’ve been missing most th storms all week. They’ve been sliding just north of just south. Enough to get some sprinkles and cool things off a bit but I haven’t got a heavy downpour all week.

Yep right over me. Getting 40-50mph winds, serious thunder and lightning and torrential rain. Got to be close to severe.

Local news showed some damage from those storms earlier. Eric Elwell said it was a microburst with 45-55mph winds which I can vouch for. Also showed a time lapse from a weather cam clearly showing the down burst. Pretty neat really.

Funny how today was supposed to have a better chance for storms than yesterday around here anyway and so far it's been the exact opposite.

Yeah I was looking forward to the likely chance of storms today. No dice though. It hasn’t rained in days imby. All around me though.

Finally got some relief from the heat and a nice storm. Torrential rain and lots of flooding in Canton. I can't pull it up because Facebook hates my adblocker, but also a pretty classic shelf cloud a little bit east in Eastern Stark and Trumbull counties. Could tell it was pretty much non-stop thunder after it went by.

Looking forward to mid-month when the pattern reloads, hopefully this time with more organization.

What a summer it's been already. Still no sign of it letting up for a prolonged period of time in the next 10-15 days.

Will probably be another heat wave (potentially major) a little after mid-July if Hurricane Maria strikes China

Crazy how dry it’s been here. Didn’t get much of anything but a shower all week

It's kind of weird how tropical systems in the W Pac seem to get mirrored in the Atlantic/ E Coast some time later. But it's certainly not an exact science. And I don't hope for any extra destruction of US coastlines. We've already got one hurricane now, thankfully not making a landfall on the US.

check out this potentially tornadic storm in Canada, north of Morgan, Montana
