Trouble loading pages Options

I spent a lot of time here during Sandy, and near the end of the storm I had trouble loading the pages in the most used threads. The pages would freeze up once they initially loaded.

I find I'm also having trouble on the new Nor'easter thread...I come to find out what's going on, and the page won't load. Although the not-so-much used threads load fine, thus I'm here posting.....

I did clear cookies and the cache and that didn't work.

Thoughts? I'm using Chrome, which has always worked in the past.
