Todays 06z GFS showing warmth dominating Southern ON into the next 10 days, right into June 3rd with highs in the mid to upper 20's each day. Mostly sunshine as well. Then by June 4th, conditions turn much cooler. This is aligning with the Euro weeklies for that time frame so we may be in for a cooler June by the looks of things. Enjoy these next 10 days.

35 cm of #snow from the evening of May 23rd through to the morning of May 24th, represents the biggest 24 hour snowfall #Gander has seen not only this spring, but all winter too. 35 cm also fell over the last 3 days of February. (41 cm if you include March 1st too). #nlwx

We had to make do with some much needed rain (been a dryish Spring and Winter), temps are a balmy +1c this afternoon so I think will need a wooly hat for sure as it's windy too. Bring on the flurries the next few days. laugh.gif

The drizzle changed to wet flurries the last few hours, no accumulation of course. Chance tomorrow evening/night could produce a bit of accumulation, wonder if we will wake up Saturday to a bit of white?

I think it bodes well for a warm summer here though(July-September) as seems to be following the same pattern to 2012 (which was also weak winter, some April warmth like this year before a cool May/June, then had a brilliant July-September)

today marks Hamilton's 19th day this month above 20 degrees. 6th place all time.
The record for May is 24 days.
If the forecast is accurate and no cold storm with an East wind zips through, we've got 6 more days above 20 to finish off the month which will make this May #1 all time.

Currently running 2.5 above mean daily maximum, think that will improve even more by end of next week, so this will be a very good May here...certainly makes up for the horrid April.

it's smoking out there currently. 33 IMBY. Our nearest EC station is just below 30, but sitting downwind of Hamilton Harbour, whose water is still very cool.
This side of the harbour in the central city it's downright scorching.

Really nice day out. Not too much humidity which is helping out quite a bit.
Just wondering what you guys think how much rain we're going to get tomorrow here in the GTA.
TWN has downgraded their forecast to just a few mm of rain.

As for this weekend based on what Im seeing the biggest threat the cloudcover and rain will be in central and eastern ON Saturday afternoon and into the overnight. Most of S and SW ON will be sunny tomorrow with a few clouds. Many areas won't even see rain. The one section that is at a moderate risk for a later day shower and storm would be from Southern GB down towards Toronto (Nottawasaga corridor). I'd be on the look out, but even that is not a sure thing. Expect highs 29-30C across most regions, feeling more like 34C with humidity.

Sunday looking like another mixed bag, with a chance of showers, but again....hit or miss. Many regions could be in for a rain free day, highs 27-29C.

Monday at this point looking fair and warm, mostly sunny with highs near 30C.

So looks like it's time to water the lawn.
I noticed that the lawns in my area aren't as green as they were 2 weeks ago.
It's pretty tough to depend on scattered t storms to get the mm that the grass needs.

We hit 30.4C here officially, making Alliston the hottest location in Ontario for the 2nd day in a row. Thats with the intense rain that came through around 2:30pm, without that temps would have for sure gone hotter.

The only location in the province to break the 30C mark today was Alliston.
