Over-performing event for sure. I measured 14 cm in three different spots where there weren't any drifts.

We got about 7-8cm so far of snow/ice pellets, seems more ice pellets than anything it has been ice pellets for the past 5 hours, like shoveling sugar! Expecting it to end in a bit of freezing rain but could stay all ice pellets, certainly wont be any significant freezing rain. Looking white and wintry out again at least.

We got 20 cm with this system winds were not strong gusts to 50 km .. our winter has been boring so far . alot of fronts . hope for a change next month . next few weeks dont look promising . We ended with 14cm officially of snow/icepellets, more than expected as the freezing rain stayed away completely, lots of ice pellets though never seen so much accumulation from ice pellets before! Winter hasn't been too bad here since the middle of December, bar the freak mild few days last weekend we have had some sort of snow cover. Don't think it's going to be an above normal snowfall winter but we were due a below normal one after recent years chalking above normal. That said we don't really know what Feb/March will bring yet, could still produce some big storms. |
