There is a local water fowl area of renown, called Middle Creek. I'm getting reports from my bird brained friends that the geese have already returned on their way back North. And that would be approximately one full month EARLIER than traditionally seen. ohmy.gif

We were discussing this locally here among a few golfers. We saw swarms of them heading back north even before the last snow/ice storm, and even more recently. The Canadian geese that infest my office building returned there last week also, which is really rare before March. You can't miss their return, as they pollute the sidewalks and surrounding grass, if ya catch my drift laugh.gif Freaking Canadians, first they bring us the CMC and now the geese laugh.gif

Saw a flock of ~80 geese heading due east early this morning.
On another note, got a bit of freezing drizzle today.

Notice - Very localized report. Only posting here because there really isn't any other place for it. laugh.gif.
More on the localized freezing rain event. Appears to have caught some by surprise... multiple accident reports. Including a school bus into a pole.

This morning temps at 5000' with Upper Heights

If that SouthEast Ridge wasn't around I bet Eastern U.S would be experiencing another long cold Arctic blast. Impressive SER flex down there..

So with that, the cold air has to go somewhere and one reason why Western U.S is getting the Jet dip.

Agree Rick, highly doubt sticking cold. PM me at some point, would luv to get out golfing and catching up. Welcome to come over to Brooky. Hope we get a few late ones here in the east, as they don't stick around long. Would think it has to happen, as hard to believe we just walk away from this long winter. We will probably trap the cold for one or two.

Will do bud. Would love to play with ya. bring your wallet. tongue.gif
Meh, GP closed due to the stupid overnight rain. Heading out to Shepherd Hills for 12:22.
Maybe messy but 65 F I will take.
Agreed that we will have a few bouts with Cold Temps, but I don't believe any cold stints will last long.

Beautiful system at the very end of the run. Only sharing for the storms structure.

Here's a look at the snowfall total departures to date.. I circled all the NWS locations that are above normal. Hope I didn't miss any. Surprised about Iowa. I thought they had a nice stretch last week with snow days. Maybe missed the airport sites.

Southeast should hold onto the above normal season.. Boston & Richmond will end up below if they don't get more. Lots of us near normal.
