It snowed lightly here, dusting or about 1/2" late morning. Then mainly flurries in afternoon (West of St. Louis). About 33* all day and most melted that was on pavement; now there are concerns of freezing as temp drops. Around 9PM it's expected to start snowing again, possibly up to 1-3". Of course usually totals seem overdone. Winter Weather Advisory in effect til 6AM tomorrow.

Enjoy the snow guys. With the January thaw that looks imminent, who knows for sure how long we'll keep our snow--even for the lucky guys like me who have a snow depth around a foot or so.

lots of snow in the air today/tonight, but only about 1/2 inch of accum. with temps hovering around 34. actually lost anow cover today, but could have been worse. its been white for a week, and will probably stay that way for another week before the jan. thaw hits.

Picked up 1.7" total. Enough to finally put me over 20" on the year, but still below average. Off to another slow start snowfall wise this year. Looks like that will be the last of it for a while with the quiet pattern for the rest of the week and then warm up next week.

Certainly is considering how unspectacular the system was ... still much more significant than accuweather thought snowfall analysis

Yeah I am not much of a fan of those particular daily records.....If by random chance rain and or snow happens to rarely fall on a particular date then it does not take much to beat the record.

When I was heading to my sisters house last night it was snowing pretty good. About halfway through the night I saw that get street was slightly snow coveted, then it started to freezing rain, then it was switching back from a rain to snow mix. On the way home, some colder surfaces had a bit of snow on them while the rest of the roads were just wet.
