The anemometer battery was being replaced this morning when the box slid down the pole, causing it to tear on the inside of the box. I will be taking it down for repair tomorrow; until then, it will report "CALM"

Wind equipment continues to read 0. Also hi/lo will be bad today due to station reboot.

We continue to experience problems with the wind speed/direction transmitting for longer than a few days at a time. Also today, and in some previous days, there were brief "repetitive" data outages due to us sending the station into Setup mode to detect the anemometer.

The Davis station on the AccuWeather lawn has not been reporting rain data since 8/12. I checked it last night and it was not clogged. I will have to disassemble it later this week to determine the problem.

I could not find a malfunction but I cleaned the tipping buckets and cleared spider nests from the electronics. While cleaning the buckets, a FALSE 0.07” of rain was recorded for the day. Today the rain gauge started reporting again during this afternoon’s showers, picking up 0.05” so far. The next heavier rain we receive will help solidify the theory that it has been fixed. ALSO I will be at Corl Street Elementary next Friday attempting an upgrade to the firmware of their station which I believe will keep it online during the school year. This station was down from approx. 10 am 12/7 to 11:30 Am 12/9 due to an accidental disconnect during maintenance at my desk.
