Most of the forums that I know of - have 255 character limt on signatures....of course those signatures also contain pictures and other non-verbal entities.

Jesse will have to set the limit to 200px when he is ready to make the rule change. We have exceeded 25 votes.

Jesse will have to set the limit to 200px when he is ready to make the rule change. We have exceeded 25 votes. ![]() Yep, thanks for the votes, this was resolved very quickly. Final results above. No sigs should be longer than 200 px as illustrated below. ![]() Members having those that are too high should reduce them this week, this goes into effect December 1st. If a Moderator contacts you to ask you to reduce yours and you don't, you will be Warned and the signature will be blanked out. Thanks for your cooperation. TIPS FOR MAKING YOUR SIG SMALLER: Use smaller fonts, or bold fonts instead of large fonts. Resize your images to make them smaller... animate instead of using large images. Place images next to each other. Any other tips, reply here. -------------------- -- Jesse Ferrell, FORUM ADMIN & MODERATOR

The Moderators have a measuring tool...if you would like to know how you measure up, just PM one of us. 200 is quite generous....my current sig is plenty big, and I come in at 190!

This Guideline is now amended to include a limit of 200KB total space for the Sig File - text + images. This was decided by the administrators (and is not up for debate) based on complaints about large sig images slowing down the load time for the Forums. A 200KB sig file takes about 30 seconds to load on a 56K modem.
Please also remember that YOU can turn off all sigs in your My Controls. -------------------- -- Jesse Ferrell, FORUM ADMIN & MODERATOR
