SREF is showing another winter storm that could affect portions of the lower OV on the 10th AFTER the event on the 7th-8th. It has shown it two runs in a row. Definitely need to keep an eye on this.

HR 75 21z SREF Mean

2 Meter Freezing Line

HR 78

HR 81

If the Nam were to come NW some that'd be a couple inches here.

Hey Grace, the NWS Paducah is totally downplaying this chance. What's up with that? mellow.gif

Can someone post 12z Gfs snow map.

Lest I mislead you...when I say close I meant the upper level features not the surface features. The 6z NAM phased the northern energy with the southern energy further west that resulted in a decent winter storm:

The 12z NAM phased it further east resulting in a good mid-Atlantic storm; however, Ohio did get in on that action some but not like the 6z.

The 12z GFS was "closer" but not really close. It's still doesn't dig the northern energy as much as the NAM & SREF & is slower & strung out with the southern energy for any kind of phase.

It was a step in the right direction compared to the 6z but still far away. It's all about timing. If timing is good it would be sweet.

If they phase we may be in for a good storm.
