Its a nice 25 degrees here 10 miles north of Augusta. still snowing with decent fluff factor but flakes getting larger.

I have no idea whats in store the next couple days. I can live with junk here if Saddleback gets major dumped on...

I am not seeing much of a slop threat except maybe at the very beginning and very end, and it seems like it would be confided more to I90 north rather than I84 north.

where? montreal on north? here in Vermont I'm already just shy of 35F and suppose to see mid 40s until Wednesday as the storm pulls away.

I've been monitoring the model progression of the strung out mid level low.

Thought we had a decent shot at a more concentrated vort along the coast, but alas not gonna happen.

Rain for more most.

Got to remember Dec is the transition month and that just for the fact we have a amplifying system along the coast, its a good thing.

Its also a good reminder to not be too gung-ho too early during the transition period.

Should be interesting to see how much Maine gets out of this. Even after giving up on most of the Northeast getting snow the models still consistently showed an inverted trough-like feature sticking around over Maine enhancing the snow at least a little while after the low leaves the region. From what I've seen it looks like the eastern parts of Maine benefit the most from this.

If only at some point this mid level low ended up to the southeast of Nantucket, MA, then we would get some good OES from it, but at this point, I expect rain to continue to fall.

it's all about central Franklin county wink.gif

I'm an ex-Waterville resident so know the feeling well. I certainly miss the lakes in that region as well.
