Sun is finally burning through the fog which was like pea soup since about 9 pm last night. May scratch out a few nice hours of sun early afternoon... smile.gif

Much of that is Fog at the coast especially LI/Conn coast slowly dissipating.

Mood changer! 10:30-11am sun in and out. Cloudied back up now. Dews must be high. Feels super humid

Adjusting Eyes. Feels like I been in a cave.

Sun causing pop up storms in Western PA and OH. Temps in the 70s and 80s where the sun came out..

Mist and Chill. Guess I'll need the heat again as its not passing 50s today? blink.gif We have to be near record low max's if they hold.

Normal High at the coast here is 69. Hartford is 72.

Normal high for Boston is 67, they are at 50 at 5pm.

Normal high for Philly is 75 and they just hit 60 at 5pm.

Going outside to check gauge now. Will edit this with total

2pm Map. Mid Afternoon and its still in the 50s from Philly into Southern New England.

It's Warmer in Northern Maine than D.C

You can see how the sun is causing surface temps to heat up nicely.

Edit: 0.43" so far today. Still raining. Started at 6am this morning.

Lets try this again...

Tornadoes in Red.
Bursts in Yellow.

Only one that didn't have coordinates was the Macroburst in Kent, NY but said it was 4 miles long so I just clicked a 4 mile path starting in the Terryhill area.

The Macroburst in New Fairfield and Brookfield was the longest at 9 miles.

Huh. so the tornado followed the roads? Maybe NWS is correct when they stop/start things at county and state boundaries. The weather abides!

LMFAO! laugh.gif Wonder if it stops for traffic too.

I have to figure out how to map a point to point line.

The orange +2-4 for here is mostly because of the 1st 5 days only. Also the warm nights.

Look at the max temps after the 5th.. only 4 days were above normal.
Yet almost every night was above this month

I was looking at the latest GFS data and aside from the lack of heat shown next 2 weeks something caught my eye.

586dm this morning??? I thought that would represent 80s & 90s? So if the surface and mid level werent cold we would be in a torching hot pattern.

I used all the coordinates for locations from the survey report. https://nwschat.weather.gov/p.php?pid=20180...X-NOUS41-PNSOKX. Only one that didn't have coordinates was the macroburst in Kent, NY so I just added Terry Hill Road area in Kent for that one.

Zoomed into the Beacon Falls, CT Path. I heard and saw some crazy pics and stories from there. Disaster area. So many trees around there.
