Starting this.
Believe we will see some decent snow at Lee of the lakes.

Overnight temp minus 6 to minus 10 in Barrie area should help keep it on ground

Early indications appear fans better dress warm.
Below freezing with 30 km winds will be worst cold, the dampness from lake Ontario will be close to brutal.

Tornado warning in effect for:

St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region

Updated or ended by 12:02 a.m. EDT.

At 11:05 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado.

The thunderstorm is located just northwest of Fenwick and is tracking northeast at 40 km/h.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Tornadoes at night cannot be seen and may strike suddenly. Sometimes they are preceded by strengthening winds, large hail, or an approaching whistling or roaring sound.

In Canada, lightning kills up to 10 people every year.
Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet with the hashtag #ONStorm.
