Wow! Thats insane... how much do you have on the ground now?

28 inches after first and 12 after last night, probably take away a few inches due to wieght and melting. I need a longer meter stick for the offical measurement biggrin.gif

Here she comes 40 DBZ!

As of now, you're "only" seeing 30-35 DBZ. The real stuff, 45-50 DBZ, is coming towards you and should be there in the next hour or so. I have another 30-35 DBZ band that will move through later, and then I'm going to get dry slotted.

People to south of me stay safe!

Overcast here.
Calm wind.
21F

Change in our forecast today. Yesterday it was a chance of snow for today with no accumulation.

Now:

Light snow likely. Total snow accumulation a dusting to 2 inches. Highs in the upper 20s. Light and variable winds...becoming north around 10 mph this afternoon. Chance of snow 60 percent.

No big deal for us, but this gives you and idea on how far north the precip and cloud sheild will reach.

2-4 inches in central vermont.
wwa in southern vermont w/ 3 to 6 inches expected.

Matt --- the are calling for an additional 4-8 on NWS for DELCO. I imagine the impacts of this could change this dramatically. I'm getting greedy, but want to see another 12" or more. We had intense banding with the last storm and I imagine, much like thunderstorms and rain totals, you can throw forecast accums out the window with the right meso banding set up.

Thanks for all your hard work man. I all-nighted the last storm but will admit I rested up for this one b/c I have to work from home! This is me. Working. unsure.gif

Good Morning to all snowlovers! I live about 20 miles east of Fredericksburg, VA in the small town of King George. Currently, we have about 3 inches of new snow and it is absolutely coming down to beat the band!

My question is concerning the radar; it looks like it was starting to move NE but now is tilting but stalled. Am I correct?

Still pouring snow here. The street that was shoveled a few minutes ago is already snow covered once again.

Any reports from Washington DC yet? Looks like some very heavy snow about to move in...

looks like i will be right about nyc the area as far as precip type is concerned, the only really severe mixing is over the twin forks.

so far here on the north fork snow has been increasing with no mixing. moderately now with winds around 11 mph. that may change when, and if those higher reflectivities make it here.

Def looks to be producing STRONG bands and one of the local mets thought some STRONG ones would stall over MD for like 6 hours! Im hoping this thing STALLS the heck out wit these STRONG bands, I could go for another foot and a half! Its snowing HARD here in Harford Co, north east MD!

The entire midsection of MD (Frederick to DC to Baltimore) is about to pick up 2-3" in the next hour. And if the band continues to sit here, our totals are going to go WAY up.
