...Snow Will Develop This Evening and Continue on Monday...

Light snow will develop over northwest Indiana and southwest
Lower Michigan this evening before spreading east into northeast
Indiana and northwest Ohio overnight. The snow will continue on
Monday and slowly diminish from west to east in the afternoon.
Total snowfall accumulations should be between 2 and 3 inches with
a few areas possibly approaching 4 inches. Roads will become snow
covered and slick so allow extra time to reach your destination.
Slow down when driving and allow plenty of extra distance for
braking.

Wind chills Monday night into Tuesday morning will be between 5
below zero and 15 below zero.

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 PM MONDAY/... The lowest temperatures tonight will be across eastern portions of the forecast area where there will be less cloud cover early in the evening and also where there is the greater snowpack. Temperatures will rise overnight as cloud cover increases and WAA increases as well. Snow will begin to overspread the area tonight and remain across the region through the day on Monday and into Monday night. An initial weak disturbance pushes through late tonight into Monday morning. A secondary disturbance pushes through western and into northern portions of the region during the day on Monday. Later in the day expect additional snowfall associated with the front with the better forcing from around Wilmington up towards Columbus. Storm total snow looks to be around 1 to 2 inches along and south of the Ohio River. Near I-70 and north 2 to 3 inches look to be more likely. Winds will gust around 20 to 25 mph during the day on Monday so cannot rule out some blowing snow.

LOT says they won't be issuing a WWA because of the duration of the event.

They only issue them when nothing happens. (hahaha, that's my joke for the day)

Yeah the flash freeze didnt materialize on Thursday. Last Sunday evening I drove home from Aurora then to an evening soccer game in Crystal Lake and the roads were a skating rink. Maybe they will issue them for the evening.

Crossing fingers for you, Valpo! Looks like a pretty decent setup for 4 inches or so for you. smile.gif

10:1 and Kuchera. I always go with 10:1 and hope for that occasion ratios pan out.
