Ok, I'm biting. You can thank me all when this doesn't happen.

Was posting this in the Long Range, but the NWS forecast now has three days over 90. Hesitation was uncertainty as to how widespread it would be but if you have 4 NWS offices calling for three days of 90 its time to pull the trigger.

If you keep sticking highs over the SE, you're bound to start heating things up in our areas. EPS and GFS also have this repeating around the 14th to 16th.

Not looking for 100 degrees along the coastal plain, but three days here, a break to mid-upper 80's and a reload is possible.

I've been spending some time on you tube lately looking up explanations for some terms and theories I'm not familiar with. Thought I'd share some of the good resources and tools which are helping me along.

First off, for a basic understanding on how things work in the atmosphere, it turns out Yale offers an online video course. Intro to atmosphere...

Was toying with the beta version of the Accu Pro site. New layout may take getting used to, so not going to complain about that yet.

However, since its in beta, wouldn't it be good to have a feedback mechanism specifically for the beta site? I couldn't' find one other than a general contact link.

Also, I couldn't find a way to access the forums. Can a link be added for that?

Ultimately, my dream for Accupro would be a way to pick what you'd want to see on a homepage, similar to how My Yahoo works.

Looks like the DGEX model is being retired today. It did run at 6z with the following surface maps:

Effective on or about March 15, 2017, beginning with the 1200
Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) run, the National Centers for
Environmental Prediction (NCEP) will implement Version 4 of
North American Mesoscale (NAM) and discontinue the Downscaled
GFS by NAM Extension (DGEX) Forecast System. Changes include:
* Discontinuing all DGEX model output

Hmmm... never opened one of these before.

Here's the 6z GFS and 0z GFS snowfall and NAM precip. Will note that the 0z Euro has snow reaching the ground all the way to N NJ, S CT, with the one inch line across Dutchess and Litchfield Ctys. 3 inches in Catskills and Berkshires, most of VT. 6 inches in the ADKs. By the 29th its got a foot in Northern ME

Canadian only with 2" in the Berks and Catskills, 4 in the Adks.

Surface temps on the southern edge don't support much accum, other than grass. But still would be our first flakes.
