This will be my first venture into a forum subject started soley by Moi.

You've heard of Murphy's Law haven't you? It states:

"If anything can possibly go wrong, it probably will"

Well, what unique variations on this principle can you share for all to benefit from, or maybe just say, "Hmmmm, I never thought of that." ?

Here's one to start off with, probably well known, but it opens the forum. wink.gif

The odds of the peanut buttered side of the bread falling face down to the carpet, is directly relative to the cost of the carpet.

So share what you've experienced or borrowed, and enjoy!

HAHAH Today is murphys law for me!

--------------------
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assalent, "If I live I will kill you, if I die you are forgiven". Such is the Rule of Honor.

You always find something in the last place you look.

In his farewell address (September 19, 1796), President George Washington told the nation: "Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. . . . Virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government."

I had this happen to me before multiple times: Being sick during a holiday or my birthday. Whether a stomach bug in the family or strep throat with a 104F fever, past birthdays have been ruined.

If there is a worse time for something to go wrong, it will happen then.

For "stinkie" :

When you install an awesome dock at the lake and look forward to dipping for smelts in the spring;

the lake will be drained for dam maintenance.

Whenever you set out to do something, something else must be done first.
