A bit of a dusting here and some light flurries, more snow has fallen than accumulated:

Gotta love those May snowfalls... rolleyes.gif

Average high for the month so far sitting at 15C. This could end up being one of the coolest May's since 2002 when the average high that month here was only 16.5C. We're not quite at the 1997 levels of cold though when the average high that May was only 14.3C!

Rain coming down here this morning as well. Next week looking fairly decent for late May.

Next week is looking pretty bad with temps all in the high teens with multiple shower events, a dismal end to an extremely cold month, the coldest we've seen here in Alliston since 1997.

2002 was cool here, at 16.4C but considering we are only at 14.9C as of yesterday I dont think we will hit 16.4C by the end of the month. 1997 was the coldest in decades at only 14.4C, that record luckily we won't beat.

I for one will be happy to get this month over with and set my sights on June with higher hopes. The following week after looks better, at least a return into the 20C+ club.

June is probably my favourite month of the year and I don't think I'm alone in hoping it's filled with sunny and warm/hot days. Hoping it's not another 2009 or 2015 repeat.

not looking too shabby down this way this week.
Looks like a mid-weed rain event keeping temps just under 20.
Of the next 14 days, only 3 have a temp below 20 in my forecast.

Lots of sun too other than this midweek event.

What a gross, wet and cool day out there. Temp at 12C right now and with the leaves back on the tree's it feels more like Fall not Spring.

This weeks forecast looking pretty lame. May has been a pretty bad month in the weather department, worst since January though at least the days are really long now.

Interesting forecast variations over the next 7 days here.
If EPS and GEFS are to be believed, we've got a nice stretch coming up. Most days in the 20's, and the midweek rainstorm looking less impactful.

CMCE is cooler in it's forecast. We'll see how it pans out. Kinda odd to have GEFS And EPS agreeing. lol

Looks better down your way for tomorrow. Our forecast is for overcast skies with chance of showers and a high of 20C. Hopefully it doesn't transpire that way. Yesterday was miserable with rain all day, today looks very cloudy, and if tomorrow ends up being cloudy as well then it might not be until Friday we see some sun by the looks of the forecast.

Really makes you miss last Spring around here. This time last year we were entering a 4 month stretch of pretty much non-stop sunny/warm weather.

I fear for this Summer's weather with the way things are looking now though it would be too soon to write anything off just yet.

I chose well to have last summer off! It was really amazing...not too hot, but dry and sunny for sooo many days. I'm back at work so not so fussed about hot weather, as long as some of the weekends pan out alright.

My guess is that this summer will be below seasonal for S/E Ontario with much more disturbances/rain then last summer. It will feel much different compared to last year.

May will go down as one of the top 5 coldest in history down this way, our coldest in 20 years. June isn't looking much better with several cold spells set to dominate Eastern Canada.
