Surprised that nobody else has bothered. I know that clippers are usually minor. But it also ushers in some cold air... if you believe the forecasts
Start off with the clipper getting organized in Alberta/Saskatchewan

Maybe a few cms in parts of southern Ontario with this, as well as with an enhanced WNW to West wind producing some LES...

Number of downloads: 0QUOTE The combination of a clipper system arriving from the upper Great Lakes and enhancement from Lake Erie will lead to 2 to 4 inches of snow in Buffalo with a coating to an inch in Niagara Falls. The snow will accumulate the most in the afternoon as the heaviest snow shifts from the Ski Country communities in southwestern New York to Buffalo and Niagara Falls, putting holiday travelers at risk for slick roadways and reduced visibility. Those traveling by air may also encounter flight delays. The snow will taper to lighter flurries on Sunday night with a dry, but chilly day to follow for Monday. A bit of snow may return to Buffalo and Niagara Falls on Tuesday if a stormy solution pans out for the Northeast. 12z highres NAM simulated radar @ hour 31:

http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/...3_metric_e.html QUOTE Sunday Cloudy. Periods of light snow beginning in the morning and ending in the afternoon then 40 percent chance of flurries later in the afternoon. Amount 2 cm. High plus 4. First accumulation in Toronto?... Hahaha maybe for a bit, but with the expected high temperature, I'd expect it to melt pretty quickly, and I don't even know if 2cm is likely, more likely between a trace-2cm. -------------------- New blog for southern Ontario!

EC is mentioning LES behind it for Sunday evening and into Monday. Any thoughts as to where they may line up? I'm going to try and grab a few minutes later today to check the models. Still learning!

While not much, it did provide the first accumulation of snowfall for the year. Great sight to see. Keep it coming nature.

I was home back in Chatham-Kent for the weekend, and this little clipper hit us a bit harder than expected. After receiving nothing from this weekend's lake-effect, we have a period from around 5-8am this morning with moderate/intense snow that gave us a gorgeous coating of around 4 - 5 cm.
The snow came down hard enough to actually coat the roads and pavement, although it was the very fluffy kind without much moisture. Still, it was a very welcome surprise to wake up this morning and see everything coated in a layer of snow. Not all of it has melted so far. Just a tease before Christmas to put me in the mood and excited for more snow up in Hamilton. Fun fact: Novembers have been so snowless lately that this weak clipper alone was enough to make this the snowiest November in Chatham since 2008. If the system that's set to affect the Northeast had hit Ontario instead, this could have been the snowiest November here since 2002 Ah, November... that time of year where everybody gets excited over a few measly centimeters of snow.
