I could use the rain tonight, only had some sprinkles so far tonight. Not enough sun this year to get those tomatoes ripe. Pepper plants here didn't grow at all for some reason. It's watermelons run amuck everywhere.

Amazing weather difference within such a short area Philly. We are totally saturated, totally different in plant growth, etc. Last nite, a herd of deer were eating the apples that fell from my 2 trees in the back yard. Very odd also for this time of year.

Like an unsupervised kid, I can run amuck with my pretty red, rad, radars. No one on to stop me, so post away I shall. Coming in from the west is Patton's Third Army.

Amazing how you are missing this. Satellite knocked off here. I have watered here one time since June. I actually curled the hoses up and put aside.

This better drop south a few miles. A swath of 1-2" with some isolated 3" amounts only a few miles to the north would just be. mad.gif

I waited all these hours for only a brief shower of maybe a hundredth or 2 hundredths of an inch. Guess I'll have to hope for something tomorrow. After that doesn't look like anything at all next week till Friday.

Muddy mess here, 1.5" of rain recorded at the airport, it was pretty heavy for a good 30min, like lose your satellite tv signal heavy. At least it waited until it was almost dark before starting.

Will get a better measurement when I go outside and take water off of cover of the pool, the ultimate bucket. As usual, I ignore the airport measurements, which are just comical. Also, was a 2 day measurement, with the rain overnight. Would think it is near or over 2 inches though, as the level is above the skimmer top AGAIN, and will have to do the weekly pool drain AGAIN. Been saying "I can't remember" a lot this year since the spring, but I can't ever remember draining the pool this many times. I do remember a few years of having to ADD water this time of year, as July into early August is usually a dry period round these parts.

I got basically zero yesterday. Hoping for a soaker today before the dry stretch comes most of next week.

yea the trajectory was sw to ne. I was in Macungie yesterday afternoon, and the first, smallest of the 3 batches missed there but hit New Tripoli. The last 2 were more south, but amazingly again, the heaviest seemed to be near New Tripoli. Hope this trend ends before winter!
