Pretty neat to see the data from above. This was at 7am balloon launch for Upton and Albany.

Notice Albany has a thicker freezing layer at the surface but the warming layer above is lower.

Miserable day of weather, mid 30s with on and off light rain/drizzle. Miserable weekend of weather coming up with on and off rain until Monday.

Thats true I guess, well Sunday-Monday should be quite a torch and hopefully after that we can finally begin to see a gradual change to this miserable pattern.

Had some sleet in Malta when it started today. Radar getting juicy. Its not frozen but we still need the rain so bring it on. It may help with soil moisture for future storms, though I'm not sold on that.

1/2"-3/4" for most of monmouth county, some 1"+ reports along the immediate coast of monmouth/ocean counties...

Over 2" reported in parts of atlantic/cape may counties...
