Getting interested in the line of storms around Lansing...most likely my last chance of severe weather in Michigan, before I leave for Oklahoma on Thursday.

If we can just get the cold front timing to trend slower, Monday could be very interesting around here, as there appear to be good dynamics in place.

I find this MD interesting. Was a bit discouraged when I seen the outline, but it has LSX in the WFO section. So at least appears the areas SW are still in the game

They often mention WFOs that surround the area outlined by the MCD.

Anyways, getting somewhat excited about later today here. Not sure we'll get anything but if we do it will be severe. Either way this heat is awesome. Attached Image

Definitely looks like an MCS train should set up somewhere for 4th of July Weekend.

This one didn't have any wind but had very heavy rain...and the sun came out before it stopped raining again. Very nice 5 minute storm, I'm enjoying today for sure.

Round two coming in right now...looks pretty nice to my SW. Regardless of how strong these last two rounds are, I'll definitely take 3 storms in one day. biggrin.gif

This was a great storm, by far the best here since I have been back in Michigan. I was driving back from a dentist appt. when it hit, but I did stop and take a few pictures as the storm was departing. These are both looking to my SE at a different storm in the line. These are the best tower pictures I can remember taking in Michigan.

Not seeing the MI tornado from earlier, so this isn't all of them. But still a pretty substantial severe event day

GRR ended up saying "possible tornado".

9Z SREF for 10pm Monday night, surprised SPC only has 15% slight risk area

Capping issues. I'm sure some places will end up with higher probabilities but it's so uncertain where that warm front will set up on Monday, and only places right by the warm front will be able to break the cap.

Then this is two systems out...and this looks like it could be a doozy if it ends up as strong as the GFS and Euro are suggesting.

Getting confused as to which thread today is for, this one or the other one?

I really think this thread should be used for today and then the OH Valley risk tomorrow...then a new thread will probably be needed for say the 11-14th timeframe.

I don't see any reason why this thread should go to the 10th...it's the same front sure but a different low pressure system.

Just looked back at the radar loop and kind of disappointed in myself that I didn't stay up a bit longer to see the OFB hit me. Apparently we didn't get any rain with the developing storms, and I did check and there is no tree damage to be found, but I'm sure it would have been cool to see the wind gusts, and the accompanying temperature drop (PTK dropped from 83 to 70 in one hour after the OFB rolled through). Interesting event for sure.
