I'm running two Davis Vantage Pro systems. One at my home and
the other at work.

Both units are using Weatherlink programs. One is version 5.5.1 on
the work system and the one at my home is 5.7. Both are using the
serial interface.

Here's the problem with both. Both units send data to a host system
that puts them on the Internet for all to see. Every once in a while,
BLANK data will be sent, either the graffic screen or no midnight
data (archive) is sent, again only a blank screen. The ONLY way to
*fix* this problem is to re-boot the computer.

When I called Davis a few months ago about my unit at home using
the USB port at the time hanging up, they FINALLY admitted there is
a problem with USB and I got the serial interface. I kinda doubt they
will admit to a problem I'm having that's it's their problem.

I'm guessing even with the serial interface there is a loss of data
between the weather console and the computer every once in a

BTW, both computer do nothing else. 100% used for the Davis
systems only.

Any idea guys??

Your ISS reception is great and you are receiving the right amount of data at each interval (as indicated by the "15" after the ISS reception). So I don't think the issue is with the Davis equipment.

However, you may be having a network issue between your weather computers and the target systems that you are sending data to. A couple of years ago, WUnderground locked up my computer when I tried to send data to their servers. The problem was on their end and not mine.

I also had a similar problem with my ISP. It would seem that the Davis software was sending no data or null data to the web site. You may or may not need to use passive FTP with the transfer. Check with your ISP and if they have transaction logs, I would check those too to see if there were any errors.

Also, what do the WeatherLink logs say? Anything useful in there?
