How is your teams shaping out in spring training? The Royals have already been hit by injuries pretty hard but I still have high hopes for this year. I am hoping that they can at least stay in the hunt for the AL Central. (which would be a big improvement from recent years). Also what teams have made the biggest impressions on you so far this spring training and offseason?

What a day of baseball yesterday.
Chicago pitcher Philip Humber pitched perfect game vs Mariners Then, Yankees rallied from 9-0 down to beat Boston, 15-9. -------------------- -James

The Baltimroe Orioles shut out the Yankees 5-0 to win the 3 game series 2-1 and put the team 7 games over 500 for the first time since July 2005.

Orioles swept the Red Sox in a 3 game series
With the 1st game going 13 innings and the 3rd game going 17 innings - normal position players ended up pitching the final innings as all the pitchers had been used. -------------------- Never too old to have a happy childhood! .......... ..........![]() Don't put an age limit on your dreams! |

Even with a tired bullpen of the Red Sox's they still beat the Royals 11-5 tonight. Sometimes I wonder why I cheer for the Royals. The slogan "Our Time" isn't going so hot for them. Our Starting pitching has been a complete disaster with one little upside to Danny Duffy pitching well. But with the bats starting slow and starting pitching being down right horrible it has equal disaster for the Royals. Hopefully they find a way to turn it around because KC is ready to rout for a winning team and we all thought this was the year. |

A item in 'Today in History' about a pitcher that got charged for a loss from a game after he had retired.
Question - Considering that baseball games are frequently suspended for weather and ground rules about how late in the night a inning may start - Has a individual pitcher ever been charged with both the victory and defeat in the 'same game'? Scenario - pitcher for team A starts game and is losing when game is suspended before having completed enough innings to be declared completed. The pitcher is traded (or otherwise) ends up on team B when the game is played to final completion. Since the game did not play enough innings to be declared final on the fist date, the pitcher that started the game for B cannot get the victory. The former team A pitcher is brought into the game in relief of team B's starter and completes enough of the game to get the decision - thus he is both the winner and loser of the same game. -------------------- Never too old to have a happy childhood! .......... ..........![]() Don't put an age limit on your dreams! |

Joey Votto is a beast. 4-5 today with 3 homers including a walk off grand slam. That's why he makes the big bucks.

Thoughts on the performance of Brandon Inge in Oakland!? They are using his name in the same sentence as Lou Gehrig... 4 consecutive games with 4 or more RBI's. In one week he is the A's #2 in RBI's. This guy hasnt been able to get things done since he hit ZERO homers in the home run derby. Slump or Tigers Hitting coach!? either way, Inge is still one of my fav's in the game. No one does it better on the field than Inge, he has proved that year after year.

No one does it better on the field than Inge, he has proved that year after year. Inge wasn't enjoying playing for us anymore. He lost the third base job and he was getting booed everytime he came to the plate. Detroit fans did not treat him the way he deserved. Classy player who played as hard as he could every day. A new start was just what he needed. I'm happy for him. And honestly I'm glad we moved Cabby to 3rd. Wasting an arm like his at 1st would have been a shame. He's been a very serviceable 3rd basemen and like Adrian Beltre, his incredible arm makes up for a lack of mobility. -------------------- ChsChargers09 - Please be aware that there is a significant chance I was being sarcastic in the above comment. Thank you.

Roger Clemmons found NOT Guilty of lieing to Congress.
How much tax money was wasted on two trials for something that has no impact on our economy, national security or general safety of the population?
