Just did a quick feel on some plants and pavement. Sidewalk by the front porch is wet, plants have a coating of ice. Street looks suspiciously shiny in the streetlights, and I can hear the ZR hitting the windows. Stay safe.

I'll be honest, I love this system! I was able to ride my bike for almost 6 miles today, and sat outside with a book. The January Thaw prevails! That being said, can you imagine how much snow this QPF would amount to if it was 20 degrees cooler? Official temperature was 61 degrees.
Oh my apolgies on fogeting my QPF. 1.1 over the past three days. I hope the rest of the winter will satisfy our snow hopes. This post has been edited by NWOhioChaser: Jan 13 2013, 01:34 AM |

My table on the patio looks to have a glaze of ice on it.I'll venture out in about an hour or so. I left my car at the bar last evening. i hope it's not covered in ice.

Did anyone in the north burbs of Chicago get any snow?
Neat radar loop from LOT. The loop shows the freeze line advancing from west to east. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display_cmsst...79&source=0 This post has been edited by Regionrat: Jan 13 2013, 08:20 AM -------------------- Early evening dusk

Not enough to cover the grass. Its just one of those years that is not to be. I don't ever remember getting 2 inches of snow total; .3inches at a time. Interesting tidbit from Skilling:
Jan. 13 takes a strong second place with 71.8 inches. Chicago climatologist Frank Wachowski noted that, regarding Jan. 13, it has snowed on 71 of 128 days (55 percent) since 1885. Light snow showers in the vicinity here. -------------------- Hope for Spring

I'm under a flood watch now but ehh. I hated how the rain stated west and north all yesterday. Got some rain after about 1am.
I thought temps would have started there tumble by now. Did the front slow down. Indy was at 45 around 4 am and we were 64. Temp still 60 here. Local news were predicting temp of 35 at 4pm. I don't see a 25 degree drop in 2 hours. I would be Anzacs if it did happen though lol. -------------------- Accuweather please give us our own Midwest area forecaster/video blogger
