Noticed that there's been a south shift in track. Both NAM and GFS had the center track across northern LM on the 12z run but now track over basically I-80. Possibly something to watch.

ILN

QUOTE
Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Wilmington OH
339 PM EST Sat Jan 13 2018

.SHORT TERM /6 AM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...
High pressure will move east of the region on Sunday. Other than
a FEW-SCT lingering stratocumulus clouds, most of the day should
be mostly sunny. It will remain cold with highs ranging from the
upper teens to the lower 20s.

For Sunday night, a clipper system will be digging southeast
toward the western Great Lakes and middle Mississippi River
Valley. WAA/isentropic lift will result in increasing clouds
Sunday evening, followed by an increasing chance of snow from
northwest to southeast after midnight. The highest threat for
snow is slated for the northern Tri-State region, the Whitewater
and Miami Valleys, and west central Ohio. About a half inch to
an inch of snow will be possible in these areas by Monday
morning. Lows will be early, then they will slowly rising
overnight. Lows will range from the single digits far northeast
to the mid teens west.

&&

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
Period begins with the center of a clipper system in the wrn Great
Lakes. Models are showing an area of snow over the fa at 12Z Monday
as a result of isentropic lift out ahead of the low. The NAM and
ECMWF are showing that this initial shot of snow could pivot north
on Monday, leaving portions of the fa, especially the south, dry at
times on Monday. The GFS and Canadian Hemispheric are a little more
broad brushed. This leads to a difference in timing of the cdfnt
passage. The GFS and Canadian are quicker bringing the bulk of the
snow through the west by 00Z Tuesday and the rest by 06Z, with the
NAM and ECMWF are about 6 hours slower. Preferred the NAM/ECMWF
handling of the waa snow Monday morning, so lowered PoPs across the
south. For the timing, ran a compromise between the two solutions.
As for snow total, have generally 2-3 inches for the nrn half and 1-
2 for the srn half. Typical clipper system snow totals.

A break in the clouds will be possible late Monday night, as another
arctic air mass settles across the region. Expect lows generally 0
to 10 above. With the fresh snow pack, wind chill readings could
approach advisory criteria.

High pressure will begin to build Tuesday, but with the H5 trof axis
swinging through and caa off the lakes, clouds will remain over the
area. There could be a flurry, but won`t mention it in the forecast
that far out. Highs on Tuesday will only recover to 10-20. Tuesday
night will be another cold one, with lows around zero. Wind chills
could be an issue again. Highs on Wednesday will only be 15-20.

By mid week the high will sink south of the area and the air mass
will slowly begin to moderate. Highs on Thursday will be 25-30 and
Friday 35-40.

Well measured again since it seems to be ending and again hard to be accurate but it's at least 4" probably more. Easily the best non clipper storm in some time.

If this isn't a Winter Storm Warning event then Wow... winds are crazy. Let dog out and within 30 minutes all paw prints are covered again.

Imo ILN does not seem to have a good history when it comes to issuing advisories/watches/warnings. Back on
page 6 or 7 Rob posted a map that showed the last WSW by counties and for me was Feb 21 2015 so decided
to go look at that thread. That was a storm that until a couple days out was going to stay south of the Ohio
River but shifted north and became jucier. Most models were showing 6-10" along I-70 and north. They never
issued a watch and went right to advisory Dayton/Columbus and north and warning south of that. Couldn't
believe it. 12 hours later they shifted the warning north except a few far north counties. Don't know about
them sometimes.

This feels more like ILN desperately trying to back their advisory call lol Also suggesting ratios aren't too far over 10:1

So I realize what the criteria is for a warning. But considering the combo of everything ice/sleet/snow/wind I think a warning was needed for at least I-70 and south.

So went out to measure as difficult as it is and it's at least 3 inches maybe more. Some nice drifts about 6-8" in a couple spots.
