Even if we don't get another 20 cm+ snowstorm in Ottawa this year, I will be happy as we had one. I will still show disappointment if we miss other potential storms but I will still not be disappointed like the last couple of winters. I can say that now.

And it seems like there just might be another snowstorm next thursday (less than a week) that could be similar to this one but with colder temperatures that will allow the snow to add up quicker, blow around more, and just be an overall better snowstorm despite how fantastic this was.

You guys are lucky. I only got about 9-10 cm, and as soon as we got that, it started melting away. The roads were very slushy, which made going down them very unpleasant. I've had snow since then, but not snow that accumulated.

We're probably done for snow the rest of the Winter.

I wouldn't say that just yet. Still lot's of time to get something in there with cold enough air available. I waited over three years to get 20 cm+ (44cm with this one) in Ottawa from single snowstorm so I do understand how fustrating it is with not a lot of snow. Hopefully you get a nice dump soon.

Still snowing lightly in Ottawa, but where are these bands of snow coming from? It looks like 'land-effect'snow: it comes seemingly out of thin air!

Btw, I went around the neighbourhood measuring and Aylmer stands at about 20-25cm but it's hard to tell what fell today because of the wind.
