Hey folks,

Just a reminder that it ok to disagree with a professional METs forecast or interpretation of a storm, but it's not ok to bash them publicly.

Thanks!

QUOTE(PA ROAD DAWG @ Feb 11 2014, 10:05 AM) *
Here's my main issue right now. People keep saying blend this, blend that. But why blend? Why not just say wow, that model sucks and let's forget it. Because it's so off it's not even funny, and that just might be the case. I firmly believe one of the models has the correct depiction of the storm, and that some are completely entirely wrong.

Think about it, the nam and euro/ukmet are light years apart. And the gfs is the middle man, but has been trending nw. The Cmc also is sort of like the euro but maybe a hair east. I think this whole blending thing is bogus. One or two models have the right idea, whereas the rest or completely wrong.

Do you have thoughts behind which model(s) might be correct and which ones are wrong?

I just stepped outside...the winds have picked up quite a lot here in NW NJ. It also feels bitter cold out. No rain that I've noticed so far.

Yes, same thing here, too!

Thanks!

I didn't find any source saying they will, but I found a Fox article saying they could do so:

"Hurricane Irene Could Shut Down Entire NYC Transit System"

Link to article

Thanks. There is nothing yet posted on the NJ Transit site. I'm sure they will update something soon.
