This band has really been something. Occasional light snow throughout the day, but since about 6 or 7, things have really picked up. I would say at least 3 inches today, most of that coming in the last 5 hours, and this thing just keeps streaming in. Wind has also picked up, and this system has definitely surpassed the extravaganza from last week.

I donít think I did that welll as I didnít get the brunt of that last band but Iím sure I have received at least 2 and quarter. I wouldnít be surprised at 3 inches though. Iíll see when the totals are released today.

Most schools closed again in central Ohio. Was honestly a shock to me. Go little clipper!

That doesn't surprise me often the other Dayton posters here differ with my measurements quite a bit. Banding can make a difference. Snow measurements by those public reports could be off. Hard to tell.

Agreed, but based on radar and that it had been snowing for ~8 hours, the measurement seemed off.

The complete end-of-day obs came out and they recorded 3.2" which is accurate.

I'm still in the very edge of light snow. Been an awesome little event here in highland county. Sadly I don't have an accurate measurement for this event, but a great bonus snow for us!

Southside of Murray, Ky received 9.0 yesterday. Just south of there, just a wee bit north of ky/tn border I would not be surprised at 10-12. There will be no official reports from there but they were hammered for hours last night with really heavy snow. Crazy thing is just north of Murray they received only 5.5.

Yesterday's snow was more than Fridays Winter Storm....that was shocking! Not in a million years did I expect this much snow from this system. I absolutely love these kinds!

Stop rubbing it in, Cary! tongue.gif

LES bursts keep moving over my place and I am anxious to see how much we get when I get home. I'm downtown right now and we've had off and on bursts of good snow but best hits have been grazing us mostly.

The LES was unusual for my area. Normally we see lake enhancement but lake effect is transient here and weak

Still snowing here, but as of now total stands at about 2.5". It has pushed our seasonal total to over 2 feet (25.1") and the monthly total to almost 1 foot (11.8"), with a 7" snow depth. This time last year we had 10.5" through this date.

Congrats to the snow winners! I am a little jealous over the areas that kept seeing the snow train. Good stuff.

BTW, the temp in my back yard has dropped to 3.3 degrees. Brrrr...

Yeah, we've had a few good storms. A few clippers in December over achieved and dropped 3-5" and the storm on Friday-Saturday dumped over 6". Plus, now this one seems to be over achieving initial forecasts, they keep upping the totals, as it continues. We've been lucky, so far.

Official report from Paducah is 8.1 inches. Now I'm taking a break from cleaning the driveway. It's warmed up to 8 F. Supposed to be only down to 3 degrees tonight but I'm not sure it will stop there. Really nice crop of icicles formed off the south side of the 12:12 roof from the bright sun. Are they anything to worry about?
