I think the only reason anyone is giving them credence it's because there are many other indicators that more of the same will come

Agreed. The weeklies have been pretty 'Meh' when it comes to apparent reliability but other guidance/signs as told by posts by those of varying degrees of skillz, support the weeklies. We shall see.

Where can these be found?

If we're going to have a thaw I'll certainly take a dry one. A rainy thaw period is perhaps the worst possible outcome in winter. Enjoying the outdoors becomes nearly impossible.

Here's an oddity. It was snowing very lightly when I got up this morning, but there weren't any clouds! blink.gif Temperature was about 10 F. Was that diamond dust? It actually left a thin coating on some surfaces.

One does occasionally see this when it is very cold (especially I have noticed when below zero). Ringing every bit of the moisture from the air...

Snowed pretty much all day and ended up with a scoshe over 2 inches. Buddy up in Zanesville said he ended up with 5.

smile.gif Yeah,I was longing to be in the all day snow zone. Not that it all was particularly heavy, just getting some extended snow is a good thing..

That looks pretty accurate (at least IMBY) had just a shade over 2 inches. Circled the area.
