Hi All,
I'm hoping you can help with some advice. At the bottom of my garden is a River and I'd really like to be able to monitor the water temperature and data log some results if possible. I have a small dock on the River and would mount the equipment there, it's no more than 25m/80ft to the house and is a fairly direct line of sight although the river is lower down so there is a bit of a slope. I didn't want to spend too much but I'd really like to find one that transmits data wirelessly such as the attached below. http://www.weathershop.co.uk/shop/technoli...ata-logger.html Does anyone have any experience of this device or the wider question was do any of you have any recommendations for a simple water temp. monitor that is wireless and preferably has data logging? Many thanks, S. |

Hi, The Kestrel D1 DROP is a Bluetooth waterproof wireless sensor which can be left on location to log data which you can retrieve later when in range with an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet using the Kestrel LiNK App. You can monitor real time within range as well. The data can be saved and sent in CSV format. You can find the Kestrel D1 DROP here. Kestrel DROPS. There are other DROP models which all include temperature but also measure different environmental conditions.
Sorry, I just noticed how long ago you posted your question but since I did all of this typing I figured I'll just leave it for others if in need. |

And to keep reviving this thread, I use a Davis soil temp probe with their 6372 wireless temperature station to measure brook temperatures at my house. It reports to my VP2. Power is via a CR123 battery.
