I'm having trouble with the Canada forum. Yesterday, if I did a search on it and clicked on the link for that specific forum through Google, it would just say "IPS Service Error." But I was able to get around it by going to the Accuweather forums main page and clicking the link on there. This morning, however, doing that is giving me the same error and I can no longer view the forum... though I can still view the most recent thread.

I'm relatively new to Southern Ontario (having lived here in Kitchener in 2009-2010, now recently moved back and unlikely to move again). I was wondering what winter storms have etched themselves into the popular memory for this part of the country? I've read about the Great Blizzard of January 1978 (41 cm in London with 128 kph wind gusts - yikes), which is one obvious candidate.

I'm from Winnipeg originally, and there are certain blizzards that almost everyone knows or remembers: March 1966, November 1986, and April 1997 in particular. I enjoy weather history and would like to get this area (Southern Ontario in general, Waterloo Region in particular) a good deal better.
