I guess the only question left is if Chicago will get any accumulation the rest of the season? Nothing in January or February for the first time in 146 years of record keeping!

it doesn't seem possible does it?

My brother live in Northern Minnesota, and had a decent early winter and then nothing. I was talking to him this weekend and he said Minneapolis has also had very little.

Has anyone asked Bastardi what the Brazillian meteograms showed for for Chicago this winter? laugh.gif

TWC named like 17 storms and we got maybe 2 or 3 of them here. Who got hit by all of the GLC's? I guess further west of there? Or did TWC just overreact?

Yes but PLEASE stay on the MidAtl/NE forum... you're about the only one that has received significant
snow this year and we're all living vicariously through you! smile.gif We need your upbeat posts just to get
those of us with a dreadful snow report for the winter (1.7 inches in Fairfax VA to date!) through this...

East coast was fairly bleak south of I-80 this winter. Actually, all the way back through the midwest.

[attachment=319333:snfl_201...17022712.png]

36-48" dollop around Albany is very accurate. Though, 19" of that came from the storms on February 9 (11.2 inches) and February 12 (7.6 inches). Everything else was nickel-dimers. Next biggest snow came on December 12 when we got 2.4 inches followed by December 29 with 2.1 inches. Those were Albany's only 2+ inch snowfalls. Four 2+ inch snowfalls all winter.

And all my FB friends were complaining about the "harsh winter" after the 2/12 snowfall. rolleyes.gif

Its all relative. NYC may be at or nearing average where 30" in the apps would be like it never snowed.

Very true....

Heck even here in OUR state of Maryland (Garrett County) which for those who aren't familiar is located 1,900'-3,200' up in the Apps and are wayyyyyy below there seasonal averages.

The majority of that area falls with in the 100+ inches on the norm and many areas are between only 1/4 and 1/2 of that thus far wink.gif

Cool. I've been on Twitter for a few weeks now. I've only managed to be blocked by Bette Midler so far.

This winter has been to bad that I watch YouTube videos on past snowstorms to manifest snow in my brain lol. In all winters come and gone i literally have not seen to many storms cut up through the lakes. It's insane
