Looks to be creeping this way and getting fairly close.....just a couple more miles. Light snow now.

The band has made it to my back yard! Thanks for sharing! We should probably continue this over in the LE Thread. Catch you in the AM...

Congrats, enjoy it! Good 2" + per hour stuff in that band. Was just out with the the pup and certainly one of the more wintry feeling nights we have had this winter. Overall a great night. I am reluctantly calling it a night as well. Shall see if I can actually fall asleep or not laugh.gif

Woke up to check the snow and it is absolutely pouring snow once again. Another Type III band in connection with Lake Huron has developed and moved overhead and there is at least an additional 3" out on the board from what I cleared at midnight. The crazy part is that based on the BR loop, most of what is out there only fell in the last 45 minutes or so. It must be coming down at 3" or so an hour right now.

All model guidance is just that, guidance. It is the responsibility of the forecaster to take that information, make it better, and to appropriately communicate the forecast to the users.

Fervent supporter of the idea to make GFS output beyond hour 168 proprietary! Anyone wanting to post/share/tweet/etc GFS output beyond day 7 should have 1) a limited set of graphics available with the option to 2) contribute a nominal fee to get a full suite of products while improving future GFS output. #EURObusinessfor-the-win

Wow, very nice! Stating the obvious, 10 miles can make a world of difference for a LE event.
