College Football Player Arrested After Refusing to Pull Up Sagging Pants on Plane
Published June 16, 2011 | FoxNews.com
A University of New Mexico football player was removed from a plane at San Francisco International Airport and arrested after refusing to pull up his sagging pants, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Deshon Marman, 20, who was in San Francisco to attend a former high school teammate's funeral, was asked to pull up his pants before boarding a US Airways flight to Albuquerque, N.M., on Wednesday morning.

Marman's trousers were below his waist and exposed his boxer shorts, the newspaper quoted a police spokesman as saying.

An airline employee asked him to pull up his pants at the boarding gate, and the request was repeated aboard the plane. Marman refused.

He was being held on $11,000 bail for suspicion of trespassing, battery and resisting arrest, according to the newspaper.

Baggy pants backlash? laugh.gif

I hate that low pants look, but I don't see how what he was wearing has anything to do with trespassing and battery. There's got to be more to the story than this.

He probably did not leave when asked to: Trespassing.
When asked to leave repeatedly he probably aggressively responded to the employees: Battery.

Note: Battery is a criminal offense involving unlawful physical contact, distinct from assault in that the contact is not necessarily violent.

P.S., we probably do not have the whole story...
Moral of the story: Pull up your pants!
Song of the day:

Pants on the Ground
Pants on the Ground

Lookin' like a fool
With your pants on the Ground
With the gold in your mouth
Hat turned sideways
Pants hit the ground

Call yourself a cool cat
With your pants on the ground

Walkin' downtown with your pants on the ground!
Giddy-up

Hey! Get your pants off the ground!
Lookin like a fool!

Walkin' talkin' with your pants on the ground!

Hey! Get your pants off the ground!
Lookin' like a fool
With your pants on the Ground
With the gold in your mouth
Hat turned sideways
Call yourself a cool cat

Pants on the ground!

(repeats)

Like I said, I hate that style too. What a punk.

Anyway, he was asked to pull up his pants at the boarding gate, and then again on the plane. I'm wondering at what point do they consider he was trespassing.

When they ask you to leave and you don't. Especially when they try and assist you to leave...and you resist.

At the airport that is not acceptable behavior. Just asking for trouble...

It looks they couldn't have asked him to leave until he was already on the plane. It makes sense to charge him with battery and resisting arrest, but the trespassing thing seems like a stretch, because he was already on the plane. He didn't trespass onto the plane. He just resisted leaving it.

You could be right, but it just seems weird to me.

*shrug*
They asked him to pull them up BEFORE he got on the plane then again when he was on the plane.
One the plane is still on the airports property. The plane still belongs to the airline and when they asked him to leave he did not.
And is now paying the price for this fashion faux pas.

Are skinny jeans the same as tight fitting jeans? If so, my wife doesn't like a pair of my jeans because they are too tight. wink.gif

Yes, I have chicken legs... 140lbs soaking wet at 5'10".

Ha! Another one like me, didn't think it possible! Had to wear a wet suit once when I went sailing in New England waters in April. The memory of the image (no photos on record) still makes my wife crack up!

Pop culture (?) not liked by me_ making a civilian version the HMMWV (aka humvee); and especially blinged and ghettoed out.

Don't forget Maurry and his paternity DNA tests for all the women who have no real idea of who got them pregnant.

I think auto-tune is ruining the radio
And reality shows are ruining television
Also, overuse of CG is ruining the cinema
Oh, and rehashing pop-culture from the 80's is ruining my childhood memories

Now THAT was funny. laugh.gif

I felt the same way as those guys when we got the results of the test when I was accused of the same thing back when I was a kid.

I knew it was not true but it sure was nice to see it on paper.

What I'm not a big fan of is when people (including a good friend of mine) buy new hats such as skin industries and such and leave all the labels and tags on them, they don't ever take them off for some reason. I find it kinda wierd, because it's not like some collectors item where the hat is gaining value lol. Anyone know the reason behind this sort of fad.
