I noticed something pretty silly and useless IMO...
What is the point of this feature where ANY user can rate another user by a 1-5 star rank which is then publicly displayed. Obviously it isn't used often, otherwise several people would have hundreds of ratings especially those who contribute greatly. However, when it is used... it usually is abused by a certain person giving a contributor 1 star and a troll 5 stars just because they may disagree or agree with something. I really don't see the point of this... as it serves no purpose for this forum other than inaccurately judging other users which may affect their credibility in some people's eyes especially those that aren't actively on this forum. I am not one to complain about things often... and I am not sure how much attention this will even get as it appears this part of the forum is rarely looked at... however it would be a positive change for this forum. -------------------- Conyngham Winters

It wasn't even used when the forum was popular in 2009.

It is only viewable if you look at your profile - either in seeing how you ranking in posting counts or just viewing your profile. NBD. No big deal!

I'm not a huge fan of the user ratings either... anyone can rank anyone else regardless of the reasoning; anyone could rank a troll with 5 stars and a contributing member with 1 star for the simple reason of disagreeing or agreeing with opinions. I'm also in favor of removing them; if anyone wants to make a judgement of a poster, they can do so by reading his/her posts, not by looking at a 1-5 star rank which is controlled by both regular posters and trolls alike. -------------------- Visit my weather website for the NYC area
