Toronto has been ground zero for big storms lately.
Yesterday was boiling and muggy here with no rain until about 9pm. Very light rain for half an hour or so. Overnight we picked up 10mm around 3-4am.
I'm sitting at 43mm for the month of August so far. I suspect some stations in urban Toronto are 3 or 4 times that amount of rain this month.
Very localized t-storm activity.
