The snow is lighter here, that's before the next heavy band moves through soon, followed by the dry slot.

Currently 3 inches of snow here, making this my biggest snowstorm since December 19, 2009.

are you looking closely at the radar? Everything is now moving in a NNW motion now. That dry slot looks to miss NYC.

An interesting feature going on here. This band is almost through us...gave upwards of 3" of snow...yet the heated gauge shows no LWC change. Gauge gone bad? Checked Dulles and Reagan....same thing, high snow, no liquid. Snow ratios unreal.

Temps are falling into the teens right now in Northern VA. This is incredible stuff, folks!

Hey neighbor, how much do you have down there in Hanover? I saw you guys were at 10 inches at like 11 PM last night, so I'm assuming you're well over 15" now? I'm at 12 and counting quickly.

I think around 6 BAZILLION INCHES is a good estimate.

Or, maybe around 20-25" before this snow started.

Wow, that would be about 30-40 inches of snow cover across your area blink.gif

It's going to take time for all of that to melt. Just hope that no heavy rain event affects your area anytime soon...

We've been in a band for the record books here in York, PA, for the past hour. Woke up at 7:15 to find 10" of snow on the ground...now at 8:30, we're over 12". That's over 2 inches of snow in just over an hour, very impressive! It's snowing to beat the band, and that deformation band means business. This is very convective snowfall, and rates are going to approach 3-5" per hour in that band...take it from somebody who's right under it. A foot and counting!! At this rate, 18" is probably.

18"? Thats all? Im hearing these HEAVY bands are going to stall out and DUMP snow on lots of these locations for HOURS! Here in MD im told AT LEAST 6 hours of STALLED HEAVY SNOW, dragging this thing out till like 10pm in north east MD. I think some areas cold EASILY see some CRAZY totals if this thng continues at this SLOW pace, if i stalls it could be intense!
