Lots of sunshine here today in the Alliston area, again the hot spot of Ontario at 28.5C (36C humidex). We hit 29.7C yesterday again good for the warmest locale in the province.

A heavy shower rolled through today around 4pm which put an end to the sun and warmth unfortunately. At least we made it above seasonal for a 2nd day in a row.

Average high for July here sitting at 26.5C which isn't bad at all.

Yes today is miserable. We hit our daytime high of 21C at 1am! It's been a constant downward trend all day, we have been sitting at 16C. Raining on and off all day, doesn't remind me of summer at all. We never had a single day last summer like this. It's depressing.

Good pattern for the coasts, been a fine stretch of weather here, today another good example around 23c and suinshine. Must be running a bit above normal here so far for June/July, most days in the past month have peaked in the 20-25c range bar a scatter cooler day, just about perfect summer temps for me as not a fan of it once you get into the 25-30c range and so far the max temps is just under 26c on a couple of days. Does get a bit cool at night which you notice sitting out in it once the sun starts to go down, but this is good too for cooling the house down at nights.

Gorgeous day yesterday, 26C and sunshine. Spent it at the pool, could have been a bit warmer but still not bad.

Back to overcast skies here today with already a bit of rain falling. Dark clouds are on the horizon so more to come. Let it continue this unsettled pattern of Summer 2017.

Great summer here so far, lots of sunshine with only scatter wet days, quite impressive as June was decent and above normal(when it can still be very grim) and July shaping up above normal so far with 27c in the forecast next few days. Seems like we went from winter through May (we never even broke 15c until May 31st!) which was well below normal and skipped straight into summer after early June. I would guess the 1st half of met summer is likely one of the warmest ones on record with June performing (quite amazing turn around after May), so depends on how the 2nd half shapes up but could be one to remember. July is definitely not on a par with July 2014 but that was a one off month with June and August both cooler. The latest Euro weeklies seem to be painting below normal weather in the future, though they seemed to have done badly here as basically every time they have come out this summer it has been showing below normal in general.

July so far:

http://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_data/...StationID=50089

Only really a couple of cool days, the rest very admirable (normal highs around 20c at this point) with 25c,27c,27c,25c the forecast for next 4 days.

A peak of 27.1c here today with blue skys, not many times a year we see days like this here, infact the warmest day since August 2015!

With a peak temp of 27.1C at St Johns Airport #YYT thru 3:30 PM, today is the warmest day in almost 2 years (27.3C on Aug 18, 2015) #nlwx

A simular temp forecast is on the cards for the next 3 days with maybe a bit more cloud.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms move through Hamilton and when it's all done, Environment Canada issues a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. When the storm is 3/4's of the way through Niagara, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for them.

I don't get it. blink.gif unsure.gif
