Had around 100mm of rain last couple of days. Currently +3c feels like -3c in St John`s, light to heavy drizzle and fog, winds Northerly gusting to 60. Still need a winter hat and gloves and heavy coat. Yet you will still smell some people BBQing later, you cant beat the spirit here, if we hit 10c next week everyone will be out in shorts and flip flops. Last week there was a coating of snow on the ground in the morning and I mowed the lawn that evening (it is actually growing, or at least was last week).

Drought Index as of May 25. No surprise down this way.
Hasn't rained this week either... the city is way too dusty right now. Stuff blowing everywhere when the wind picks up.

Hopefully some of the rain in the forecast materializes over the next week.

Just insane here considering it's June, high of about +3 today (even normals are 14-15c now), this is the forecast for tonight/monday:

QUOTE
Cloudy. 60 percent chance of drizzle early this evening. Periods of rain or ice pellets beginning this evening then changing to periods of light snow overnight.. Fog patches dissipating this evening. Wind north 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming northwest 50 gusting to 80 this evening. Low zero.
Mon, 4 Jun Periods of light snow ending in the morning then cloudy. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 70. High plus 4. UV index 4 or moderate.

Actually turned into a nice evening with some sunshine for the first time in days. By nice I mean sunny and +4c, but we are easily pleased. biggrin.gif Tomorrow looks sunny too and a bit milder with +11c, still below normal but it will feel like full on summer here tomorrow after the recent cold spell.

We topped out at 16.0C yesterday, today looking like it'll be a struggle to hit 12C here due to the cooler airmass combined with a brisk NW wind.

Luckily tomorrow things improve, expect more sun and temps back in the upper teens. By Thursday we are back in the 20C+ club, a trend which looks to continue into the weekend and all of next week.

Thanks for the good news cause this feels eerily like last summer, cold and crappy after a rainstorm. I'm not sure which is colder, the air conditioning in my office or outside!!! Bring back the sun!

Just did a sweep of todays runs, don't let today fool you... its' an anomaly not the norm. Temps re-bound Wednesday with more sunshine, highs in the 18-20C range across the board.

By Thursday highs will be back in the 22C to 24C range under mostly sunny skies especially from the GTA north and east. Friday will be sunny but cooler in Toronto to Hamilton with a E wind. In land it'll still be around 23-24C. Extreme SW ON could be under more cloud cover from Thurs-Sun with a front nearby. Either way, sunshine will dominate the medium to long range.

Daytime highs will be 23C to 26C range each day from Thursday through the weekend and ALL of next week which is near seasonal, or a couple degrees above seasonal. Don't be surprised to see a couple 27-29C temps pop up next week in areas away from the lakes.

well that was a big letdown. heavy rain this morning in Burlington-Oakville. Not a drop here.
Then a huge line of storms this aft that split over Hamilton...north into Burlington and south of here got smoked.

We finally got a 2-3 minute downpour around 4:30pm and that was it.

Now back to sun and a nice breeze.
