Areas north of Green Bay got up to 18" last night with much more to come. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 30" storm total somewhere around there!

Winds are wicked here in Chicago this morning. Rain has ended for now, we didn't get much (again! it's relatively dry here) and it's cold! 40º with a windchill in the upper 20s. Lake shore flooding looks to be an issue, including Lake Shore Drive here in the city. Wish it were snow, but exciting nonetheless.

The amount of snow we picked up last night is incredible. Snow drifts were pretty much over the hoods of cars. They are saying another foot plus tonight.

Winter Storm Warning commenced for me starting 6 pm. Although by looking at the radar as of 8 pm, doesn’t seem to be any precip within 150 miles. Huge lull in progress.

Allowing surface temperatures to drop off. Interested to see how this one will play out.

Earlier DTX talked about that in their forecast discussion. Said the dry cool air will actually enhance ice accretion during round two. From the sounds of things the freezing rain is expected to last through mid-late afternoon tomorrow for flint northward.

I’m dreading the possibility of losing power (along with our well pump and furnace) for days on end, and not being able to travel anywhere due to downed power lines.

LOT just put the northern tier of counties under a WWA. Not surprising as HRRR and 3K NAM having put the freezing line and wintry mix further south into N IL. Getting close to Chicago.

Reports out of Sturgeon Bay and Jacksonport of those amts. Every summer I go up to Fish Creek and Ephraim in that area. Gotta be interesting there now

Don't look at this. It's BS. They're counting the 1-2'' of rain we got Friday as snow...

Woke up to more sleet than freezing rain, which surprised me. Freezing drizzle now. Probably 1-2 more hours until it nudges above freezing.

Next 4 days look like late February norms (yet again). Bizarre “spring.”

Was in Door County over the weekend.. Drove from Sister Bay, WI to Chicago today. Absolutely crazy between Sturgeon Bay and Sheboygan. True whiteout conditions. Green Bay had 23 inches I think

Wow thats impressive. Was looking at the radar last night and saw parts of Wisconsin and UP of Michigan getting 2-3" rates per hour for 8-10 hours, ridiculous!
