^ You guys are in your own world up in Newfoundland. I can't believe its even possible to have snow and those temps in June. Unreal.

Meanwhile get ready for an epic heatwave in Southern ON and Eastern ON as well as in Southern Quebec, from tomorrow (June 29th) and running an astounding 8 days to about July 6th. Its conceivable that SOME areas will have an 8 day 30C+ streak. There will be two peaks for heat, one being this weekend (Sat-Sun) with highs in the 34 to 36C range with humidity of 44 to 46C. The second peak will occur later next week around Thursday July 5th or Friday July 6th with highs again near 34C and 43-44C humidity.

Already hot and sticky out there and it's gonna get so much more intense. Nature's turning on the furnace full blast this week and I can't ever recall seeing a stretch of hot weather so persistent and intense here. To think, 6 months ago we were dealing with record cold air and deep snowpack.

A/C is getting a FULL workout this week.

Modern record high is 101*F, set in June 1988. Forecast calls for mid 90s tomorrow and Sunday IMBY. 100+ would be an amazing feat only seen a few days this past century.

This is where I wish EC had a station in central Hamilton instead of just on the lakeshores.
Hit 35 IMBY today....Not sure what the closest EC station hit....tomorrow the humidity really cranks up. Today maxed out around 40.

Unbelievable heat today. 93 / 34*C feeling like 119 / 48*C right now - that's the american "feels like" index, not the humidex. The humidex is 50... This is both the highest heat index and highest humidex ever observed in my back yard station, and the hottest day w/ humidity I can remember. This is dangerous weather - stay indoors.

Hit 34 here today. Sitting on my deck and it feels like Singapore. Saying 36 tomorrow, we will see. Going indoors is heaven, but still like being outside. Imagine this withoit AC. In London UK back in 2003 they hit 39...no AC, high humidity...evil.

Don't stay indoors...just stay hydrated, you guys have six months of being indoors FFS!

I'd rather have cool weather any day. This heat is unbearable. Some people love it, and they can take it, but unless I'm in the pool I'm staying in smile.gif

Despite highs around 32*C every day next week, dewpoint looks to be a little lower, at least for tomorrow and Monday. Heat indices around 40 vs 50 today.. more typical heat wave weather for around here.
