I continue to keep an eye on the 15 day, long range pattern for the Chicago area as Iíll be heading there for work late January. Theyíve yet to have a real storm this season, even after a ton of cold air in late Dec/early Jan. Iíve seen points to a warm up but curious how that all plays out.

Good time to review, as any, I suppose - here's what I posted to my weather Fb page

Attached File  WinterOutlookOne.PNG ( 73.24K ) Number of downloads: 2

Not too shabby if I say so myself.

So here's my thoughts on PartII

Attached File  2018WW2.PNG ( 70.04K ) Number of downloads: 3

Of course, we'll have to see how that Part II call fares - for now, it's not in crazy land anyway.

Even cold and snow lover me wants a temperature break every now and then..

I'm with ya Rob wink.gif

I love the cold and snow however will admit the past few days of 50's and 60's (although we're some what rainy) felt very nice coming off the Arctic freeze biggrin.gif

However let's not get tooooo carried away with said warmth, I'm again ready for the bite...AKA winter!

BSR would say "no" once again. EAR suggests big winter storm potential JAN 25-26 followed by cold. We will wait & see smile.gif

Very well said pal, sounds quite plausible to me.

Nice read here on this very early Sunday morning smile.gif

I wouldn't mind a slightly relaxed SE ridge for potential fun and games. We shall see though.

Charleston, SC on target to set a new snowfall record? They've seen 3x as much snow as St. Louis has. How come it couldn't snow that much when I lived there like 15 years ago? tongue.gif
