Just a perfect week coming up, may even be able to take a dip in the pool by the weekend!

It would have been nice to have had at least one heatwave this summer, but I'm not really complaining about this past season. There were lots of pleasantly warm days between the rainy bits, I only got the lawn sprinkler out once (that may change this week, although the GFS is showing some sustained precip overnight wednesday for this area)). If we have some warmth, but mostly dryness and sun up to thanksgiving, then I will be ready for winter by then...if we had gone straight into sustained cold wet late autumn conditions this early, I would not feel refreshed and ready for the snow and cold.

We have a beautiful stretch of weather coming up across Southern/Eastern and Central Ontario over the next 10 days. With the exception of a small disturbance Wednesday evening, its shaping up to be a sunny and warm period, the nicest we've had all summer. Highs will be in the 22C to 26C range all week, and I can even see some 27-28C temps by the weekend into early next week.

The 06Z is incredibly cooler over here in just 7 days, like I can't believe the stark difference between the 00Z and 06Z.

Yep, basically from this Friday till the end of the run daytime temps in the 80s here. Very welcome, and very glad I didn't close our pool like our neighbour did!

Stunning day here today with the temp around 22C and sunshine. Next week looks absolutely incredible here as well but man we are rapidly losing daylight now with the sunset already down to 7:30pm! Goodbye evening daylight... rolleyes.gif

June, most of August and September have proven to be the best summer months this year with only July being a bummer.

^ My mom re-opened their pool today and have put on the heater. They are taking advantage of this summer weather, because this year we didn't have that much of it. (only 10 days over 30C, norm is 22). So with the forecast hinting at 25C+ and sunshine for multiple days in a row it only makes sense to enjoy the last bit of summer left before packing it in until next May.]

Today was a perfect September day, pure blue sky and 23C with minimal wind.

Ok, I seriously need to find out what our sunshine hours have been since mid-July.... it's like Bill Murray's Groundhog Day!
As suspected, we will continue to add to the number of days over 25, and some models are putting my area over 30 a couple more times. Certainly didn't expect that in late September.

Perfect weather folks! Enjoy it

This morning, the GFS says I will get roughly just under 100mm of rain next Monday through Saturday. That would be quite a soaking compared to what we've had this summer.

Yep, this going to be the best spell of weather all year. I actually prefer having this now to having it in mid July. If it was mid July it would be 33, horrid humidity, AC going none stop, and sweltering nights. This is just perfect though, warm sunny days, and a nice cool down in the evening.

Made it up to 26.6C again today, no rain in sight. Mostly sunshine. Forecast now has pure sunshine and 28-29C for Fri/Sat/Sun , can't wait!

Toronto has yet to break the 25C threshold this week thanks to that stubborn SE wind.

TWN posted their seasonal forecast yesterday. Early fall through early October the current pattern will persist with warm dry conditions in the East and cooler weather out West. They say this will then breakdown as more traditional Fall weather prevails in the East.

For winter they are saying the cold air will sit over the centre of the country, with a normal winter in the East and West, and a more active storm track across Ontario than last year, with more Colorado lows crossing the region, giving more snow storms.
