A heavy band appears to be strengthening just east of goderich and is moving southeastwards. Although narrow it is extending well inland. In terms of georgian bay scattered and lighter activity has set up closer to the lake so far. As winds shift to more NNW tonight bands may strengthen and shift into the GTA.

Snowing pretty good in Newmarket, under a snow squall warning, perhaps as much as 10 cm. At 7 am it was very low visibility and the winds are still roaring... I doubt we will see 10, but it is nice to see any amount. Hope the roads to Barrie are ok... the pictures of Hwy. 400 are bad....
