I just recently graduated Penn State with a bachelor's degree in meteorology with a minor in geographic information systems.

I'm an outdoors person when i get the chance and like to hunt, fish, and in the wintertime I'm always rooting for the cold and snow to hit the slopes snowboarding.

With the remnants of Fay now slowly moving northward and bringing very beneficial rains to a good portion of the southeast, its appearing more likely that some decent rainfall could reach up into the Mid-Atlantic and/or Lower Lakes region. Pittsburgh, State College, Binghamton, and Buffalo NWS offices (could not get Philly's) all acknowledge moisture associated with the remnants of Fay later this week in their discussions.

GFS and NAM differ on the track of this, as NAM brings almost all of the precip into the Lower Lakes region (ie Eastern Ohio up thru Lake Erie etc). The GFS precip totals thru 90hr brings soaking rain up thru about southeast NY. The SREF's, which incorporate data from short range members associated with the NAM, WRF, and RSM, appear to have axis of heaviest rains a bit east of the operational NAM.
